and here’s my favourite: a timeline of words for drunken. That is a concept that is well embedded in Britain. Our ancestors have been carousing in winter for a very long time. Or maybe it’s so embedded they’ve forgotten, like the ’60s if you remember it you weren’t there. Should have a mythology like the Eskimo’s collection of words for snow.
